The Word Bearers and the World Eaters clash on a planet named Kronus, which may sound familiar to you if you've played DOW: Dark CrusadeĪ novella featuring Lorgar's travels in the Warp (which occurs some time during the course of First Heretic). It contains a couple of familiar characters you will see reappear in the Word Bearers omnibus. It deals with the Word Bearers contingent on Terra right after the Horus Heresy has come to light but before Istvaan V and also features battles on an Ultramarines world after the Word Bearers go full heretic. This novella is almost entirely from the perspective of Word Bearers, specifically that of Captain Sor Talgron. A must read for anyone interested in Word Bearers in the Horus Heresy. It's not entirely from the perspective of the Word Bearers, as it heavily features the World Eaters as well, but it continues the story of Argel Tal and the rest of the Word Bearers started in First Heretic. Not all the stories are focused on the Word Bearers and they are not the protagonists in all of them either, but they are featured heavily (of course). This is a collection of short stories focusing on the aftermath of the Word Bearers' attack on Calth and the ongoing war that occurred there.
So you have the big two (First Heretic and Word Bearers Omnibus) but there are a couple of other things you could read.
